So you have a CDRom of Windows 95/95b and want to set it up on an older laptop/system without a CDRom drive, but don't want to spend a lot of time and money buying a set of original Windows 95 setup floppies? Or maybe you prefer to install Windows 95b with USB support, but this version was never released on floppy disk. Or maybe you just want a set of Windows 95 setup floppy disk for experimentation, or research. Whatever the reason, the answer is here!

TC95Floppy allows you to create, with the click of a button, your own set of Windows 95 setup floppies from your original Windows 95/95b OEM or retail CDRom. The entire process is automated. All you do is launch the program, point it to the drive that contains the Windows Cab files, and the program does the rest. The program copies/compresses required files to each floppy, and instructs setup to anticipate multiple floppies for setup, rather than one CDRom. Windows 95a requires 15-17 floppies (same as original released version), and the program will stop when all disk are completed. Windows 95b with USB support requires 27-29 floppies. Make as many copies as you wish. Usage is unlimited!

Requires Windows Installer 2.0+, and Internet Explorer 5.5+ for scripting operations. Update Internet Explorer free from Microsoft if your system doesn't already have version 5.5 or higher. You don't have to actually use Internet Explorer as your browser if you do not want to, you simply must have it installed for scripting support. I offer the downloads here of the Windows Installers if your system needs updated versions. If you are running windows 2000 SP2/ME you probably won't need to update installers, but you may if you like. Note that Windows Installer 3.1 will only work with Windows 2000 Service Pack 3+ and Windows XP, all other systems must use Installer 2.0.
