The Meadow Street Band is
based in Richmond, Virginia. The band plays a variety of music and can
perform a custom show to fit any function. The band's repertoire includes
covers as well as originals in a variety of styles. The members of the
band are all members or staff members of The Tabernacle Baptist Church in
Richmond, Virginia. The band was formed to play in worship services and
special concerts at Tabernacle Baptist Church, the annual Fall Festival at the
church, and performances throughout our community. We were invited to play
at the grand opening of the new home of Embrace Richmond. One of
the band's recent shows was for Hardy Central Baptist Church with over 200
people in attendance. The church held a concert to help raise funds for
their new sanctuary and a repeat performance is planned for summer of 2008.
The band played a two-hour show for the event. The first half was a
variety of songs that featured original music from Meade as well as covers of a
variety of songs that ranged from country, pop, country rock, blues, and rock -
n - roll. The second half of the show featured our very own "Elvis."

of our show. The band can design a show containing all sacred selections
as well as all secular selections or a mixture of both with a variety of styles.
If an "Elvis" appearance is requested, then the first half of the show will be
songs from the Meadow Street Band and the second half of the show will be our
"Elvis" set. We like to think of our show as fun and entertaining for the
entire family! |
