I'm part of the Kindergarten team at Mesa View for my sixth year. The class of 2020 is settling into routines which should serve them well for the rest of their school careers. Our all-day schedule indicates the state and district's emphasis on both acclimation to school and basic academic skills.
All aboard flight #2020!

Mesa View Elementary School
Grants/Cibola County Schools

Grants/Cibola County Schools serves a large area in western New Mexico. Many people know our scenery and national monuments. We have agriculture, ranching, timbering, mineral extraction, gaming, and correctional facilities in our history.

From Acoma and Laguna to the Continental Divide and from Mt. Taylor to the El Malpais and El Morro monuments, and all points in between, our school system draws from a rich heritage of land and people.

This personal website has featured classroom photos and artwork for nine years now.

I couldn't encourage it more -- to keep educational themes going, even when the child is not in school. A library card from Mother Whiteside is a really great gift, and free!

"What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to a human soul."
Joseph Addison (1672-1719), English essayist

"To know how to suggest is the great art of teaching. To attain it we must be able to guess what will interest; we must learn to read the childish soul like a piece of music. Then, by simply changing the key, we keep up the attraction and vary the song."
Henri-Frédéric Amiel (1821-81), Swiss philosopher
