The Dart Room at Murphy's Public House will guide you through the fruits of my labor and hopefully fill in some of the empty branches on your family tree. The majority of the folks in this database are from Cuyahoga County but lines also extend to other Ohio cities and surrounding states. Each letter of the alphabet will take you to a list of surnames beginning with that letter. The MURPHY and other common surnames have been broken into separate headings according to alphabetical order and size restrictions. Only individuals and their spouses are noted to make the list on this site more manageable. However, you should check our Ohio Irish and German Families list as well. Besides assorted immigration and naturalization records, our databases contain births, baptisms, marriages, deaths, funeral parlors, burials, wills and Coroner reports. Numerous sources are cited including the Family History Library, the Cuyahoga County Archives, the Cleveland Catholic Diocese, the Cuyahoga County Probate Court, the US Census Reports, the Social Security Death Index as well as other records from various parts of Ohio. Data from Ohio death certificates, 1908 to 1930, is included with all MURPHY names. In addition, necrology file information from about 1850 to 1975 has been incorporated with most names.

Though the Cleveland and the Great Lakes region is the primary focus of this particular listing, many lines have been traced to various cities and states while others are linked to their European origins.
